Pre-Purchase Site Evaluation and Feasibility Studies
For prospective clients looking to purchase property on which to build new or remodel, we research and analyze the requirements and limitations of the zoning and building codes on the property and any existing structures. We provide a summary of the code analysis and an evaluation of the properties potential to help the client determine if the property will meet their needs.
Architectural Design
Architectural Design is the core of our practice. We work closely with each client to understand their needs and vision for the project. We explore design options that take into account the functional and aesthetic requirements, the potential of the building site, code requirements, and the budget. We present these options as 2D floor plans as well as 3D models for review. Once the design has been approved, we produce the technical drawings required for permit, bidding and construction. We submit these drawings to the building department for permit processing. Our involvement continues through the completion of construction to insure that all of our client’s needs are fully met.
Landscape Design
Our services extend beyond the envelope of the building. We work with the site, providing hardscape and landscape design to create a complementary relationship between the building and the surrounding property. Whether the landscaped space is a large garden or a small courtyard, we emphasis the connection between interior and outdoor spaces. We feel that incorporating nature in the design provides an essential balance in our urban environment.
Interior Design
We work closely with each client to understand how the interior design can enhance their lifestyle and to determine the style and feeling they envision for their home. We design spaces that are open and flow into each other, and relate to the outdoors to create a feeling of connection and spaciousness. We help the client select finish materials and a color pallet, that combined with the space, light and views, work together to create the desired feeling and style.
